FOIA Request to Polk County Regarding Access to Public Records on October 7, 2024. The Sconi, a media organization committed to providing comprehensive and accurate news coverage on local governmental affairs, has submitted a request for public records under the Wisconsin Open Records Law.

The request specifically asks for a list of FOIA logs sent to Polk County from January 1, 2024 till October 7, 2024. The requested fields include the requester’s name and organization, the content of the request, the date of the request and its completion date, as well as the status of the FOIA.

As part of our commitment to transparency and accountability in public institutions, we believe access to these records is essential in fulfilling our professional responsibilities. Given our role in disseminating information to the public, we have also requested a fee waiver as a media professional.
