The City of Green Bay Parks, Recreation and Forestry Department announced on April 29 that it is starting a Master Plan process for Badger Park and is inviting residents to participate. The department is working with the Badger Tracks Neighborhood Association to gather ideas from the public.

A public input meeting will take place on Tuesday, May 12 at 6:00 p.m. in meeting rooms 1 and 2 on the lower level of the Downtown Library. The city encourages nearby residents, neighborhood association members, park users, and other interested community members to attend. During the meeting, staff will provide an overview of the project and listen to suggestions about how Badger Park can best serve both its neighborhood and the broader community.

Attendees at the meeting will be able to learn about the planning timeline, review current park conditions, and offer feedback regarding priorities for future amenities or improvements. Topics open for discussion include play areas, walking paths, gathering spaces, sports facilities, natural areas for quiet use, and accessibility features. The comments collected during this session will help guide concept options and recommendations as part of developing the Master Plan.

For those unable to attend in person or who wish to provide additional thoughts, an online survey is available. The survey asks questions about how often respondents visit Badger Park; which amenities they currently use or would like added; their top priorities; as well as space for specific suggestions or concerns. Responses from both sources—the public meeting and online survey—will be used together as planning continues.

The Downtown Library venue is ADA accessible. Interpretation services or auxiliary aids are available if requested at least 48 hours in advance.

Residents with questions regarding the Badger Park Master Plan can contact Green Bay Parks, Recreation & Forestry Department by phone at 920-448-3365 or email at parkmail@greenbaywi.gov.
