Hartford Area Chamber mourns loss of longtime volunteer Charlotte Louise Harvey

The Hartford Area Chamber of Commerce has announced the passing of Charlotte Louise (Warren) Harvey, a community member known for her long-standing commitment to service in White River Junction and the surrounding area. Harvey died on Sunday, August 17, 2025, at the age of 92.

Harvey volunteered for over fifteen years with the Chamber at the Quechee Gorge Visitor Center. During her time there, she was recognized for welcoming visitors and building connections within the community.

“Her efforts helped countless visitors feel welcome in our region, and her commitment inspired colleagues and friends alike,” according to a statement from the Chamber.

In addition to her volunteer work, Harvey contributed as a nursing assistant at Guthrie Nursing Home in Woodstock, Vermont, and as Assistant Town Clerk in Mount Holly. She also earned her GED in 1987 and stayed active with friends and family throughout her life.

“The Chamber extends its deepest condolences to Charlotte’s family, friends, and to everyone who was touched by her kindness, humor, and generosity. Her legacy of service and community spirit will be remembered and cherished by all,” said representatives from the organization.
