The Madison College baseball team finished its regular season with a doubleheader sweep of Oakton College, including a combined no-hitter, according to a May 4 announcement from the college. The games took place at Robin Roberts Field and featured recognition of the team’s 16-member Sophomore Class of 2026.

The event was significant for both athletic achievement and student recognition. Axel Donaldson and Noah Musolf held Oakton College, ranked #13 in the NJCAA Division III Poll, hitless over five innings in an 11-1 victory. Madison College Athletics also celebrated Sophomore Day between games.

In the first game, Donaldson pitched 3.1 innings allowing one unearned run and five walks while striking out two batters. Musolf finished the game by pitching the final 1.2 innings, striking out four and walking one to preserve the no-hitter. Jonah Roloff contributed defensively by leaping to prevent a home run in right field during the third inning.

Offensively, Braylen White scored after reaching base on a walk and advancing on wild pitches. Beau Bloxdorf drove in multiple runs with singles and sacrifice flies as Madison built an early lead before scoring eight runs in one inning to secure a run-rule victory.

In game two, Casey Wambach doubled in JJ Wolbert for an early lead that expanded through home runs from Roloff and key hits from several players including Paul Nuetzel and Matt Gruber. Carter Lund pitched three innings for his fourth win of the season while Landon Dessart secured his second save.

With these wins, Madison College now leads its all-time series against Oakton by a margin of 23-13 with eight consecutive victories over them. The team will next host a Region 4 Sectional Tournament at Robin Roberts Field on May 8-9.
