U.S. Wisconsin gas prices far outpace inflation
Gas prices have risen by 18 percent nationally and in Wisconsin since the beginning of the year, significantly higher than the 4.6 percent average increase in the overall Consumer Price Index over the same time period. Wisconsin pump prices are nearly six times higher in 2023 than the overall annual inflation rate for August.
