The Oshkosh Area School District announced on Apr. 30 that it will host a series of “Community Conversations” throughout May to gather feedback from the public about early learning and four-year-old kindergarten programming.

The sessions aim to collect insights from families, guardians, and community members to help ensure that the district’s programming meets the needs of young learners in Oshkosh. Organizers say these conversations are intended for anyone with an interest in early childhood education, including those with children currently or recently enrolled in preschool or 4K, as well as families planning future enrollment.

Four events are scheduled at various locations: Copper Hall on May 4 from 5:30 to 7:00 PM; Oshkosh Public Library on May 17 from 1:30 to 3:00 PM; Menominee Elementary on May 18 from 5:30 to 7:00 PM; and Carl Traeger Elementary on May 20 from 5:30 to 7:00 PM. The district said food and gift cards will be provided for participants. Childcare, transportation, and translation services can be arranged upon request through the RSVP form.

Those interested in participating are encouraged to complete an online RSVP form for planning purposes. Additional information is available via an event flyer, and questions can be directed by email to admin@sepoishope.org. The outreach effort is facilitated by SEPO alongside the school district with support from a Basic Needs Giving Partnership grant.
