Rep. Gwen Moore, representing Wisconsin’s 4th district in the U.S. Congress, has been vocal on social media regarding recent legislative developments and policy issues. Through a series of tweets posted on March 13, 2025, Moore addressed several key concerns including funding bills, Social Security privatization efforts, and Medicaid cuts affecting rural hospitals.

On March 13, 2025, Rep. Gwen Moore expressed her stance on a proposed funding bill. She stated that “Americans deserve a funding bill that meets the needs of our constituents.” She urged Senate Democrats to reject what she termed as the “MAGA funding bill” and called for legislation that adequately funds veterans’ benefits, healthcare, and housing.

Later the same day, Moore criticized ongoing Republican efforts related to Social Security. She remarked that “Long before the likes of Donald Trump and Elon Musk entered the picture, Republicans have been fighting to privatize Social Security.” She warned against actions by DOGE that could potentially undermine the Social Security Administration by firing workers and disrupting agency functions.

In another tweet on March 13, 2025, Moore highlighted concerns over healthcare in rural areas amidst abortion restrictions. She noted that “With maternity care deserts growing and the maternal health crisis worsening in the face of abortion restrictions,” it is critical not to cut Medicaid funding for rural hospitals.
