Gwen Moore, a long-serving member of the U.S. Congress representing Wisconsin’s 4th district, shared her perspectives on various political issues through a series of tweets on February 19, 2025. Moore has been an active voice in Congress since replacing Jerry Kleczka in 2005 and has a background in both the Wisconsin State Assembly and Senate.

In one tweet, Moore criticized former President Donald Trump for his fiscal policies. She stated that “Donald Trump doesn’t care how much he puts on the national credit card when it stands to benefit his billionaire donor class.” This post was made at 15:38 UTC.

Later that day, at 16:12 UTC, Moore addressed claims regarding Elon Musk’s financial strategies. She commented sarcastically on Musk’s approach by saying “Even if this number was true (it’s not), Elon Musk’s strategy seems to be ‘I lost weight by cutting off my legs!’”

In another tweet posted at 16:40 UTC, Moore expressed skepticism about certain economic policies. She remarked that “implementing sweeping tariffs on our closest trading partners, giving tax cuts to billionaires, and abandoning farmers USDA contracts is going to bring costs down really fast.”
