Innovation Accelerator is Veteran's Cup of (Bubble) Tea

Bubble

Fox Valley Technical College issued the following announcement.

Fanni Xie has big plans for the rest of 2021.

After successfully completing the Innovation Accelerator Program for Veterans at Fox Valley Technical College, Fanni drew up a business plan, secured funding and will open a bubble tea shop later this year in downtown Appleton.

Fanni is among dozens of veterans who have launched their own business ventures after completing the 14-week program offered at FVTC. The accelerator began in 2017 with ten participants. Today, there is a waiting list.

“It’s a big success,” says Amy Pietsch, director of FVTC’s Venture Center. “Word has spread. The veteran community is a tight community. When they find something that works, they tell each other about it. And so, we have a waiting list.”
