Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rogers became the first player in the team's history to produce 500 touchdowns during the regular season and playoffs, Packers Wire reported.

Randall Cobb caught the record-setting touchdown at Lambeau Field Oct. 3 during a 27-17 win against the Pittsburgh Steelers. Later in the game, Rodgers broke his own record, with another touchdown pass to Cobb, putting his record at 501.

With one more touchdown, Rodgers will tie Philip Rivers for the fifth most touchdowns. Tom Brady of Tampa Bay currently has the most touchdowns in NFL history for regular and playoff games, with 707, the story said.

Brett Favre held the previous Packers record for touchdowns with 495; 442 regular-season touchdown passes, 13 regular-season rushing touchdowns, 39 playoff touchdown passes and one rushing touchdown, Packers Wire reported.

With two touchdown passes in the Steelers game, Rodgers tied Dan Marino for sixth overall in career regular season touchdown passes at 420. He also ran in a touchdown during the Steelers game, Packers Wire said.

For his career, Rodgers' touchdowns are:

– 420 passing touchdowns in the regular season

– 32 rushing touchdowns in the regular season

– 45 passing touchdowns in playoffs

– four rushing touchdowns in the playoffs
