The second half of 2021: Home prices in Sun Prairie increased

The median sale price of a home sold in the second half of 2021 in Sun Prairie rose by $33,750 while total sales decreased by 4.9%, according to BlockShopper.com.

From July through December of 2021, there were 561 homes sold, with a median sale price of $320,000 - a 11.8% increase over the $286,250 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were 590 homes sold in Sun Prairie in the second half of 2020.

The median sales tax in Sun Prairie for the most recent year with available data, 2020, was $5,693, approximately 1.8% of the median home sale price for the second half of 2021.
