What happened to the median home price in Oregon during the second half of 2020?

The median sale price of a home sold in the second half of 2020 in Oregon rose by $17,200 while total sales increased by 1.5%, according to BlockShopper.com.

From July through December of 2020, there were 197 homes sold, with a median sale price of $286,500 - a 6.4% increase over the $269,300 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were 194 homes sold in Oregon in the second half of 2019.

The median sales tax in Oregon for 2020 was $5,207. In 2019, the median sales tax was $4,951. This marks an increase of 5.2%. The effective property tax rate, using the median property tax and median home sale price as the basis, is 1.8%.
