The second half of 2017: Belleville experienced a 2.7% drop in median home prices

The median sale price of a home sold in the second half of 2017 in Belleville fell by $5,250 while total sales increased by 81.3%, according to BlockShopper.com.

From July through December of 2017, there were 29 homes sold, with a median sale price of $187,500 - a 2.7% decrease over the $192,750 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were 16 homes sold in Belleville in the second half of 2016.

The median sales tax in Belleville for 2017 was $3,808. In 2016, the median sales tax was $3,480. This marks an increase of 9.4%. The effective property tax rate, using the median property tax and median home sale price as the basis, is 2%.
