Home prices increased in Madison during July 2019

The median sale price of a home sold in July 2019 in Madison rose by $5,900 while total sales increased by 3.3%, according to BlockShopper.com.

In July 2019, there were 696 homes sold, with a median sale price of $270,000 - a 2.2% increase over the $264,100 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were 674 homes sold in Madison in July 2018.

The median sales tax in Madison for 2019 was $5,538. In 2018, the median sales tax was $5,191. This marks an increase of 6.7%. The effective property tax rate, using the median property tax and median home sale price as the basis, is 2.1%.
