Sun Prairie home prices rose in July 2017

The median sale price of a home sold in July 2017 in Sun Prairie rose by $19,600 while total sales decreased by 0.8%, according to BlockShopper.com.

In July 2017, there were 120 homes sold, with a median sale price of $250,600 - a 8.5% increase over the $231,000 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were 121 homes sold in Sun Prairie in July 2016.

The median sales tax in Sun Prairie for 2017 was $4,696. In 2016, the median sales tax was $4,570. This marks an increase of 2.8%. The effective property tax rate, using the median property tax and median home sale price as the basis, is 1.9%.
