June 2017: Home prices in DeForest increased

The median sale price of a home sold in June 2017 in DeForest rose by $1,000 while total sales increased by 34.3%, according to BlockShopper.com.

In June 2017, there were 47 homes sold, with a median sale price of $231,000 - a 0.4% increase over the $230,000 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were 35 homes sold in DeForest in June 2016.

The median sales tax in DeForest for 2017 was $4,130. In 2016, the median sales tax was $4,163. This marks an decrease of 0.8%. The effective property tax rate, using the median property tax and median home sale price as the basis, is 1.8%.
