Sun Prairie median home prices rose by 17% in April 2017

The median sale price of a home sold in April 2017 in Sun Prairie rose by $33,500 while total sales decreased by 4.3%, according to BlockShopper.com.

In April 2017, there were 67 homes sold, with a median sale price of $230,000 - a 17% increase over the $196,500 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were 70 homes sold in Sun Prairie in April 2016.

The median sales tax in Sun Prairie for 2017 was $4,696. In 2016, the median sales tax was $4,570. This marks an increase of 2.8%. The effective property tax rate, using the median property tax and median home sale price as the basis, is 2%.
