March 2017: Home prices in DeForest increased

The median sale price of a home sold in March 2017 in DeForest rose by $68,200 while total sales increased by 11.5%, according to BlockShopper.com.

In March 2017, there were 29 homes sold, with a median sale price of $220,000 - a 44.9% increase over the $151,800 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were 26 homes sold in DeForest in March 2016.

The median sales tax in DeForest for 2017 was $4,130. In 2016, the median sales tax was $4,163. This marks an decrease of 0.8%. The effective property tax rate, using the median property tax and median home sale price as the basis, is 1.9%.
