Green Bay star quarterback Aaron Rodgers has hammered out a new deal with the team that pays him upward of $150 million over the next three seasons.

After an offseason filled with rumors and reports that the MVP quarterback could be on the verge of severing ties with the only NFL team he’s ever known, the two sides reached agreement on a deal also reported to include two voidable years that could give the team more flexibility in dealing with the league salary cap, ESPN reported.

"We are very pleased to be able to come to an agreement with Aaron that keeps him in Green Bay," GM Brian Gutekunst said in making the signing official, according to ESPN. "His play on the field and leadership in our locker room remain vital in our pursuit of another Super Bowl title. The agreement also allows us to maintain and enhance what we feel is already a very competitive roster."

The new arrangement keeps the two sides joined at the hip at least through the 2024 season, perhaps paving the way for Rodgers to spend his entire career with the team that tabbed him as a first-round pick in 2005, ESPN reported.

With four league MVP awards and the franchise record for career touchdown passes (449) now under his belt, Rodgers’ cap charge was scheduled to be $46.66 million this season, his final season under contract. Under the terms of the new deal, NFL Network’s Mike Garafolo reports Rodger’s new cap hits are $28.5 million in 2022, $31.6 million in 2023 and $40.7 million in 2024, FanNation reported.
