Italy-based international paper converting corporation Sofidel American is celebrating its 10th anniversary of operating in Wisconsin.
With the Green Bay area known in the United States as the home of tissue, company officials have had little trouble settling in over the last decade.
“It’s a natural fit to us and we’re ecstatic to be here,” said Derek Dafoe, Sofidel executive vice president of sales, according to a Fox 11 report.
Sofidel began operating in Green Bay’s west side in 2012 and acquired Green Bay Converting in 2015, Fox reported. As part of its 10-year celebration, the company invited family members of employees for tours, food, and entertainment Saturday.
Sofidel operates seven locations in the U.S., including two offices in Pennsylvania and Florida, a joint paper mill and converting sites in Oklahoma and Ohio, as well as converting plants in Mississippi, Nevada, and Wisconsin, according to the company’s website.
