Gov. Evers Calls Special Election for 24th Assembly District

MADISON — Gov. Tony Evers on May 5 signed Executive Order #198 calling a special election for the 24th Assembly District, as a vacancy has been created by the election of State Sen. Daniel Knodl to the 8th Senate District.

Gov. Evers ordered the special election to be held on July 18, 2023. If a primary is necessary, it will be held on June 20, 2023.

Circulation of nomination papers for candidates may begin today, May 5, 2023, and must be filed by 5 p.m. on May 23, 2023.
