An upcoming election deadline is approaching quickly in Wisconsin. The mail-in and online voter registration deadline takes place in four weeks on Feb. 1.

Mail-in and online voter registration deadlines indicate the final dates by which eligible voters can either submit their registration forms by mail or complete their online registration to be valid for an upcoming election. These deadlines differ by jurisdiction and are typically set ahead of in-person registration cutoffs to account for processing time.

The Wisconsin Elections Commission is a bipartisan regulatory agency that administers and enforces election laws in the state. It was established in 2016 alongside the Wisconsin Ethics Commission, replacing the Wisconsin Government Accountability Board (GAB).
