An upcoming election deadline is approaching quickly in Wisconsin. The military voter registration deadline is tomorrow, Feb. 17.

Military personnel usually have different voter registration deadlines than civilians residing in the States. These extended deadlines accommodate the unique challenges that can come with serving in the armed forces, which may include deployment or being stationed overseas.

The Wisconsin Elections Commission is a bipartisan regulatory agency that administers and enforces election laws in the state. It was established in 2016 alongside the Wisconsin Ethics Commission, replacing the Wisconsin Government Accountability Board (GAB).
