Grant Regional Health Center has announced its participation in the Wisconsin Well Woman Program. This initiative assists women who have limited or no health insurance in obtaining screenings for breast and cervical cancers. The program covers mammograms, pap tests, and other specific screening exams.
The eligibility criteria for the program include being a woman aged 40-64, lacking health insurance or having insurance that does not cover routine check-ups and screenings, being unable to afford deductibles or co-payments, residing in Wisconsin, and meeting income requirements at or below 250% of the federal poverty level.
Eligible women can reach out to the WI Well Woman Program by calling or texting (608) 853-1959 to initiate the process of receiving these services. Additional information is available on their website at https://www.dhs.wisconsin.gov/wwwp.
Grant Regional Health Center collaborates with the Wisconsin Well Woman Program to provide these essential health screenings within their service area. A dedicated social worker is available to assist patients in locating screenings close to home. Screenings are offered at Grant Regional Community Clinic locations in Lancaster, Fennimore, Cassville, or Potosi. Currently, mammograms are exclusively available in Lancaster.
