Briggs Opera House Inc and Shaker Bridge Theatre are set to present a one-night performance of Susan Edsall’s original work “Buen Camino: My Walk Through 540 Miles of Rain, Resentment, and Redemption.” The show will take place at the Briggs Opera House on Wednesday, July 23, at 7 PM. Writer and performer Susan Edsall brings her production from Hawaii to the Upper Valley. The play is directed and developed by Jessica Lynn Johnson.

Susan premiered “Buen Camino” at the SOLO STARS Series in Los Angeles in December 2024, where it received the Encore Award. It has also been performed at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival in Scotland and New York City’s United Solo Festival.

The narrative follows Susan’s journey through loss and recovery. Following an unexpected personal loss that shatters her seemingly perfect life, she embarks on a pilgrimage on the Camino de Santiago in Spain. Guided by voices she did not believe in, Susan faces her past during this solitary walk spanning 540 miles.

Susan Edsall is noted for her contributions to White River Junction’s transformation into a theater district. She was instrumental in advancing the White River Theater Festival (WRTF), which helped lay foundations for Northern Stage and other arts initiatives in the area.

Tickets for this event are priced at $30 and can be purchased through the Shaker Bridge Theatre website or by contacting them directly via phone or email. Proceeds from this performance will benefit WISE.
