The Wisconsin Cheese Makers Association announced on May 6 that registration for its annual Golf Outing and Trap Shoot will open at 10:00 a.m. Central Time on Tuesday, May 19. The event is scheduled to take place on Wednesday, July 22 in central Wisconsin, with details about registration and sponsorship available at WisCheeseMakers.org.

The event is significant as it brings together members of the dairy processing industry for networking and recreational activities. The association unites over 850 organizations and tens of thousands of employees worldwide in the pursuit of high-quality dairy products, according to the official website.

John Umhoefer, Executive Director of the Wisconsin Cheese Makers Association, said, “The WCMA Golf Outing & Trap Shoot is, without a doubt, the highlight of the summer for dairy processors. With more than 800 attendees each year and a range of outdoor activities to choose from, it’s the most fun you’ll have networking. This event sells out quickly, so be ready to register at 10 a.m. sharp on May 19.”

This year’s program includes not only golf tournaments at five courses near Nekoosa but also the second annual Pickleball Tournament with space for twenty-four players. Trapshooters will gather at the Wisconsin Trapshooting Association Homegrounds facility with up to 120 participants expected; no license is required and instruction will be provided for novices. All attendees are invited to enjoy complimentary lunch followed by an evening social hour and buffet dinner at Lake Arrowhead Clubhouse.

High-visibility sponsorships are currently available through WisCheeseMakers.org. Companies securing Premier Level sponsorships before May 15 can reserve up to twelve golfer spots. For additional information or questions regarding sponsorships or general event details, contacts are provided via email addresses listed in the announcement.

The Wisconsin Cheese Makers Association promotes excellence in dairy processing by offering advocacy, education, networking opportunities, and information sharing among its members across forty-four states and internationally through its member network according to their official website. The group also partners with entities like the Center for Dairy Research and Dairy Farmers of Wisconsin to foster industry growth.
