Kewaunee School District recently issued the following announcement.
The Kewaunee School District is seeking a motivated individual to join its English Language Learner team in the role of Instructional Aide. The paraprofessional will be an integral part of the team by supporting language development of students grades K-12. The chosen candidate will assist certificated EL teaching staff in providing instruction to individuals or small groups of students working towards English proficiency.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent
Strong understanding of academic English
Knowledge in all academic content areas preferred
Spanish Bilingual preferred but not required.
Experience working with children from diverse backgrounds and with diverse learning needs a plus
Ability to work in a team environment
Flexible, insightful, organized, and patient
Energetic personality with strong communication skills
Strong interpersonal skills and self-directed
Proficiency in technology including Google Drive and Google Classroom
Ability to participate in training outside of school days or school year (i.e. summer)
This is a part time position, 5.75 hours each day, 5 days per week.
