Wisconsin leaders continue to sing the praises of residents and continue to urge the safety of vaccines as vaccination rates in the state continue to rise.
Wisconsin Department of Health Services announced that half of all Wisconsinites have received at least one dose of the COVID-19 vaccine.
The CDC has stated that the national level of fully vaccinated people is about 47.4%.
“There's a lot to celebrate—one of the lowest unemployment rates in the country, our businesses are bouncing back and we’re a national leader in getting shots in arms,” Gov. Tony Evers tweeted. “But we need to roll up our sleeves and get the #COVID19 vaccine if we want to keep bouncing back, folks!”
Wisconsin has administered a total of 5,650,148 doses of the COVID-19 vaccine.
COVID-19 vaccines are safe, effective, free and widely available, according to the Wisconsin Department of Health Services.
Everyone 12 and older is eligible for a COVID-19 vaccination and you do not need an ID or insurance to get it.
The state has been allocated a total of 6,809,515 doses of the COVID-19 vaccine.
