The Wisconsin Lottery has received the 2025 Batchy Award from the North American Association of State and Provincial Lotteries (NASPL) for its radio campaign "Invisible Addiction," which focused on responsible gambling. The award was presented during the 2025 NASPL Conference and Trade Show in Niagara Falls, Canada.

The lottery also earned finalist recognition in the Responsible Gambling Communications -- Print category for its print advertisement, "Invisible Addiction – Spot the Problem Gambler." Both campaigns aimed to inform Wisconsin residents about resources available for problem gambling.

“This award is a great honor," said Wisconsin Lottery Director Cindy Polzin. "It's a reflection of our long-standing commitment to responsible gaming."

The campaigns were developed in collaboration with advertising agencies Hiebing and CMRignite.

NASPL’s annual conference recognizes achievements across several categories, including marketing, technology, and responsible gaming. These awards are intended to highlight best practices and innovation within the lottery industry.

The Wisconsin Lottery maintains partnerships with organizations such as the National Council on Problem Gambling and the Wisconsin Council on Problem Gambling (WCPG). In 2022, it achieved Responsible Gaming Level 2 Certification from the World Lottery Association.

Recognition for responsible gaming efforts is not new for the Wisconsin Lottery. In 2024, it received a Corporate Multicultural Communications Award at the National Conference on Gambling Addiction & Responsible Gambling for its Spanish and Hmong language campaign "Pick a Card, Any Card." Previous honors include a 2021 Batchy Award from NASPL for another print campaign and an Outstanding Achievement Award from WCPG in 2018.
