Wisconsin is celebrating its 170th state fair this month with a new and improved central mall.
Wisconsin's annual state fair is running until Aug. 15.
"It was great to join @wistatefair this week for the ribbon cutting on their new and improved central mall. There's lots to see at the state fair this year—and if you haven't gotten your #COVID19 vaccine yet, don't miss out on getting your shot and free cream puff, either," Gov. Tony Evers said in a Twitter post.
Masks are not required at the fair, according to the state fair's website.
For those who did not request a refund for 2020 Wisconsin State Fair tickets that were purchased, those tickets are valid for the 2021 state fair, according to the fair's website.
The 2020 fair was canceled for COVID precautions.
Evers said that there is a vaccination tent at the fair and free cream puffs will be given to fair-goers who get their vaccine there.
Adult admission is $14 at the gate, $9 for seniors (60 and over), military/veterans with ID and youth (ages 6-11), and children five and under are free.
There will also be live entertainment in the Bank Five Nine Amphitheater ranging from the dueling pianos of the Kids from Wisconsin to the Taco Beach Steelpan Trio.
