South Milwaukee home prices rose in the second half of 2018

The median sale price of a home sold in the second half of 2018 in South Milwaukee rose by $2,300 while total sales increased by 4.3%, according to BlockShopper.com.

From July through December of 2018, there were 267 homes sold, with a median sale price of $140,500 - a 1.7% increase over the $138,200 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were 256 homes sold in South Milwaukee in the second half of 2017.

The median sales tax in South Milwaukee for the most recent year with available data, 2017, was $4,049, approximately 2.9% of the median home sale price for the second half of 2018.
