Home prices increased in Milwaukee during the first half of 2018

The median sale price of a home sold in the first half of 2018 in Milwaukee rose by $13,000 while total sales increased by 56.6%, according to BlockShopper.com.

From January through June of 2018, there were 4,657 homes sold, with a median sale price of $98,200 - a 15.3% increase over the $85,200 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were 2,974 homes sold in Milwaukee in the first half of 2017.

The median sales tax in Milwaukee for the most recent year with available data, 2018, was $2,981, approximately 3% of the median home sale price for the first half of 2018.
