The second half of 2020: DeForest experienced a 0.2% increase in median home prices

The median sale price of a home sold in the second half of 2020 in DeForest rose by $477 while total sales increased by 15.3%, according to BlockShopper.com.

From July through December of 2020, there were 226 homes sold, with a median sale price of $291,750 - a 0.2% increase over the $291,273 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were 196 homes sold in DeForest in the second half of 2019.

The median sales tax in DeForest for 2020 was $5,388. In 2019, the median sales tax was $5,150. This marks an increase of 4.6%. The effective property tax rate, using the median property tax and median home sale price as the basis, is 1.8%.
