The second half of 2020: Home prices in Waunakee increased

The median sale price of a home sold in the second half of 2020 in Waunakee rose by $30,750 while total sales decreased by 17%, according to BlockShopper.com.

From July through December of 2020, there were 210 homes sold, with a median sale price of $410,750 - a 8.1% increase over the $380,000 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were 253 homes sold in Waunakee in the second half of 2019.

The median sales tax in Waunakee for 2020 was $6,965. In 2019, the median sales tax was $6,842. This marks an increase of 1.8%. The effective property tax rate, using the median property tax and median home sale price as the basis, is 1.7%.
