Cambridge median home prices rose by 21.8% in the first half of 2020

The median sale price of a home sold in the first half of 2020 in Cambridge rose by $36,925 while total sales increased by 8.3%, according to BlockShopper.com.

From January through June of 2020, there were 26 homes sold, with a median sale price of $206,500 - a 21.8% increase over the $169,575 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were 24 homes sold in Cambridge in the first half of 2019.

The median sales tax in Cambridge for 2020 was $3,486. In 2019, the median sales tax was $3,445. This marks an increase of 1.2%. The effective property tax rate, using the median property tax and median home sale price as the basis, is 1.7%.
