Deerfield home prices rose in the first half of 2020

The median sale price of a home sold in the first half of 2020 in Deerfield rose by $43,000 while total sales decreased by 10%, according to BlockShopper.com.

From January through June of 2020, there were 36 homes sold, with a median sale price of $223,500 - a 23.8% increase over the $180,500 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were 40 homes sold in Deerfield in the first half of 2019.

The median sales tax in Deerfield for 2020 was $3,884. In 2019, the median sales tax was $3,908. This marks an decrease of 0.6%. The effective property tax rate, using the median property tax and median home sale price as the basis, is 1.7%.
