The second half of 2019: Home prices in Waunakee increased

The median sale price of a home sold in the second half of 2019 in Waunakee rose by $30,100 while total sales increased by 1.6%, according to BlockShopper.com.

From July through December of 2019, there were 253 homes sold, with a median sale price of $380,000 - a 8.6% increase over the $349,900 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were 249 homes sold in Waunakee in the second half of 2018.

The median sales tax in Waunakee for 2019 was $6,842. In 2018, the median sales tax was $6,220. This marks an increase of 10%. The effective property tax rate, using the median property tax and median home sale price as the basis, is 1.8%.
