The first half of 2019: Belleville experienced a 11.6% drop in median home prices

The median sale price of a home sold in the first half of 2019 in Belleville fell by $19,750 while total sales decreased by 39.3%, according to BlockShopper.com.

From January through June of 2019, there were 17 homes sold, with a median sale price of $151,000 - a 11.6% decrease over the $170,750 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were 28 homes sold in Belleville in the first half of 2018.

The median sales tax in Belleville for 2019 was $3,864. In 2018, the median sales tax was $3,699. This marks an increase of 4.5%. The effective property tax rate, using the median property tax and median home sale price as the basis, is 2.6%.
