What happened to the median home price in Oregon during the first half of 2019?

The median sale price of a home sold in the first half of 2019 in Oregon fell by $22,500 while total sales decreased by 12.8%, according to BlockShopper.com.

From January through June of 2019, there were 130 homes sold, with a median sale price of $231,000 - a 8.9% decrease over the $253,500 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were 149 homes sold in Oregon in the first half of 2018.

The median sales tax in Oregon for 2019 was $4,951. In 2018, the median sales tax was $4,767. This marks an increase of 3.9%. The effective property tax rate, using the median property tax and median home sale price as the basis, is 2.1%.
