The second half of 2018: Home prices in Cambridge increased

The median sale price of a home sold in the second half of 2018 in Cambridge rose by $44,500 while total sales decreased by 25%, according to BlockShopper.com.

From July through December of 2018, there were 30 homes sold, with a median sale price of $187,450 - a 31.1% increase over the $142,950 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were 40 homes sold in Cambridge in the second half of 2017.

The median sales tax in Cambridge for 2018 was $3,504. In 2017, the median sales tax was $3,603. This marks an decrease of 2.7%. The effective property tax rate, using the median property tax and median home sale price as the basis, is 1.9%.
