Falling home prices in Cross Plains in the second half of 2018

The median sale price of a home sold in the second half of 2018 in Cross Plains fell by $13,500 while total sales decreased by 7.1%, according to BlockShopper.com.

From July through December of 2018, there were 39 homes sold, with a median sale price of $246,000 - a 5.2% decrease over the $259,500 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were 42 homes sold in Cross Plains in the second half of 2017.

The median sales tax in Cross Plains for 2018 was $4,748. In 2017, the median sales tax was $4,899. This marks an decrease of 3.1%. The effective property tax rate, using the median property tax and median home sale price as the basis, is 1.9%.
