Dane median home prices rose by 6.1% in the second half of 2018

The median sale price of a home sold in the second half of 2018 in Dane rose by $14,069 while total sales remained unchanged with 16 homes sold, according to BlockShopper.com.

From July through December of 2018, there were 16 homes sold, with a median sale price of $246,569 - a 6.1% increase over the $232,500 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were 16 homes sold in Dane in the second half of 2017, as well.

The median sales tax in Dane for 2018 was $4,625. In 2017, the median sales tax was $4,429. This marks an increase of 4.4%. The effective property tax rate, using the median property tax and median home sale price as the basis, is 1.9%.
