The second half of 2018: Home prices in Oregon increased

The median sale price of a home sold in the second half of 2018 in Oregon rose by $15,050 while total sales increased by 10.7%, according to BlockShopper.com.

From July through December of 2018, there were 197 homes sold, with a median sale price of $252,000 - a 6.4% increase over the $236,950 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were 178 homes sold in Oregon in the second half of 2017.

The median sales tax in Oregon for 2018 was $4,767. In 2017, the median sales tax was $4,607. This marks an increase of 3.5%. The effective property tax rate, using the median property tax and median home sale price as the basis, is 1.9%.
