Pricing for the median home in Mount Horeb increased during the second half of 2018

The median sale price of a home sold in the second half of 2018 in Mount Horeb rose by $18,150 while total sales increased by 6%, according to BlockShopper.com.

From July through December of 2018, there were 123 homes sold, with a median sale price of $254,600 - a 7.7% increase over the $236,450 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were 116 homes sold in Mount Horeb in the second half of 2017.

The median sales tax in Mount Horeb for 2018 was $4,665. In 2017, the median sales tax was $4,508. This marks an increase of 3.5%. The effective property tax rate, using the median property tax and median home sale price as the basis, is 1.8%.
