DeForest home prices rose in August 2020

The median sale price of a home sold in August 2020 in DeForest rose by $13,998 while total sales increased by 11.9%, according to BlockShopper.com.

In August 2020, there were 47 homes sold, with a median sale price of $325,450 - a 4.5% increase over the $311,453 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were 42 homes sold in DeForest in August 2019.

The median sales tax in DeForest for 2020 was $5,388. In 2019, the median sales tax was $5,150. This marks an increase of 4.6%. The effective property tax rate, using the median property tax and median home sale price as the basis, is 1.7%.
