September 2019: DeForest experienced a 15.4% drop in median home prices

The median sale price of a home sold in September 2019 in DeForest fell by $40,500 while total sales decreased by 31.3%, according to BlockShopper.com.

In September 2019, there were 22 homes sold, with a median sale price of $222,000 - a 15.4% decrease over the $262,500 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were 32 homes sold in DeForest in September 2018.

The median sales tax in DeForest for 2019 was $5,150. In 2018, the median sales tax was $4,417. This marks an increase of 16.6%. The effective property tax rate, using the median property tax and median home sale price as the basis, is 2.3%.
