September 2019: Home prices in Sun Prairie increased

The median sale price of a home sold in September 2019 in Sun Prairie rose by $12,800 while total sales increased by 41%, according to BlockShopper.com.

In September 2019, there were 86 homes sold, with a median sale price of $275,000 - a 4.9% increase over the $262,200 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were 61 homes sold in Sun Prairie in September 2018.

The median sales tax in Sun Prairie for 2019 was $5,471. In 2018, the median sales tax was $4,961. This marks an increase of 10.3%. The effective property tax rate, using the median property tax and median home sale price as the basis, is 2%.
