Madison median home prices fell by 1.5% in March 2019

The median sale price of a home sold in March 2019 in Madison fell by $3,800 while total sales decreased by 13.6%, according to BlockShopper.com.

In March 2019, there were 399 homes sold, with a median sale price of $244,000 - a 1.5% decrease over the $247,800 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were 462 homes sold in Madison in March 2018.

The median sales tax in Madison for 2019 was $5,538. In 2018, the median sales tax was $5,191. This marks an increase of 6.7%. The effective property tax rate, using the median property tax and median home sale price as the basis, is 2.3%.
