December 2018: Home prices in Oregon fell

The median sale price of a home sold in December 2018 in Oregon fell by $6,200 while total sales increased by 47.1%, according to BlockShopper.com.

In December 2018, there were 25 homes sold, with a median sale price of $255,000 - a 2.4% decrease over the $261,200 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were 17 homes sold in Oregon in December 2017.

The median sales tax in Oregon for 2018 was $4,767. In 2017, the median sales tax was $4,607. This marks an increase of 3.5%. The effective property tax rate, using the median property tax and median home sale price as the basis, is 1.9%.
