The median sale price of a home sold in December 2018 in Sun Prairie rose by $58,796 while total sales decreased by 7.4%, according to BlockShopper.com.

In December 2018, there were 63 homes sold, with a median sale price of $260,000 - a 29.2% increase over the $201,205 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were 68 homes sold in Sun Prairie in December 2017.

The median sales tax in Sun Prairie for 2018 was $4,961. In 2017, the median sales tax was $4,696. This marks an increase of 5.6%. The effective property tax rate, using the median property tax and median home sale price as the basis, is 1.9%.
